Okay, so I got 5 straight run barred rocks. I didn't pick them and figured it would be fine if I got a few roo's. Well, a few is two and I'm thinking I have 4 and only one hen đź«  These guys are my favorite amongst the EE'S and leghorn hens. They are 6 weeks old. I'm getting another 10 hens in June but I still only need two roosters. What do you think? They all have very developed comb and waddles - all of them similar barring.

As to why, there's been a frantic purchasing of pullet chicks that's just now slacking, females are sold out so straight runs are less likely to have 50/50 male-female.
Well that makes complete sense. It's a little disheartening bc I really enjoy them so much. Lesson learned. I have 10 more hens coming and then I have 15 copper maran eggs incubating. I'll likely just end up keeping one of these guys then.

all are males! all except one males that I have come across are very friendly and love hanging out with humans, so I would've started an all males flock but I also wanted to hatch out my eggs. please consider keeping them if they are friendly.

So they are now 9 weeks old. I can't keep them all đź«  Maybe 1. As of right now I only have 11 hens and what's looksling like 8 Roo's. I hatched olive Eggers and BCM and ended up with another 3.
