Hi everyone! I’ve been candling my eggs and I’m trying to figure out which ones are viable. I’ve taken some photos and would really appreciate any advice or insights from experienced hatchers.

Here’s what I’m hoping to get feedback on:

  • Which eggs look like they’re developing normally
  • Which ones might be non-viable

Thanks so much in advance! I’ll attach the photos below so you can take a look. Any tips or observations would be super helpful.

How old are the eggs?
If they're less then 7 days old it's too early to tell in a blurry photo.
If they're more than 8 days old, apparently none of them look good.

All eggs to be hatched should be placed in the incubator at the same time. After they have been in the incubator for 5 days or so veins become visible on viable eggs.
What if the eggs are hard to see through like specifically my speckled sussex eggs are dark with specks where It shines through normal

Just let them be. I never even candle my marans eggs. What hatches hatches, and what doesn't hatch doesn't hatch. Obsessive candling does more harm then good.
