Are banty roos as loud as standards???

My Cochins dont crow half as much as my Belgian Booted Bantam, he actually makes my ears ring hes so loud and the smallest rooster in the bunch. I have 4 cochin roosters some of them are quiet, they do crow in the morning, when I let them out but are quiet during the day.

None of my bantams are nearly as loud as my standard. Like 1/4th the volume. It will depend on the roo though. Some standards are quieter than others and some bantams are louder than others.

I have a millie that makes up in decibels what he lacks in size.

But it's not that he's louder, it's perhaps a bit more shrill...

Im hoping to have a bantam cochin roo.

I was thinking of keeping him inside at night and morning then letting him out during the day... hopefully my nosy neighbor wont throw a fit

So this is a very interesting thread, I too wish for a very quiet roo

From reading all your answers I learn that there is huge variation on frequency and noise level of crowing across and WITHIN breeds!
For now, I will remain rooster free (wishful thinking terminally crushed...)
