Are Brinsea Mini Advance a good incubator for a beginner?

Both are good, but the Octagon is bigger (24 chicken eggs).

Well, there's more space inside the Octagon series incubators for hatching chicks to move about while they fluff up during the time period you can't open the 'bator whilst other eggs have pipped....

I started with the Mini series because I didn't need to hatch many eggs. Before too long I graduated to the Octagons..... So if you MIGHT move in that direction, just start with the Octagon. ;)

I love my brinsea mini advance. Keeps me from overwhelming myself with chicks. Haha.

Instead of the ova scope, you can use a Maglite flashlight with this rubber attachment. It's almost like it was made for candling. Also much cheaper. You can get them at most Home Depots or hardware stores.

Hi does anyone have a gently used Brinsea Advance Incubator for sale? I'm in NJ & can't spend more than $100 including the shipping.
