Are cedar trees dangerous to pheasant?

I think I read somewhere that cedar is not good for pheasant, but I can't locate the post. There are 3 cedars in the pen under construction for the pair I hope to get this fall. Is this okay, or dangerous for them? Thanks for your replies. If the cedars aren't a good thing, I can cut them down and replace with something else.
 
As a kid (long time ago

) I raised ring neck pheasants. My pens were heavily planted with cedar trees, and I had no problems. I would be reluctant to house chicks of any sort on cedar shavings because of volatile oils contained in the shavings.
