I have tons upon tons of cheese nips, and no one but me eats them. I was wondering if they would be safe to give my chickens as an occasional treat. Oh, and if it helps, they are Barred Rocks.

I don't think a few cheese nips is gonna hurt them....but I wouldn't feed them too many too often. Salt isn't very good for them.

I gave mine (9 layers 2-3 years old) a handful crushed about three weeks ago and they all seem fine.
I had some outside and they all were staring at me and I couldnt help myself. They havent had any since.

My chicks love them. The staler the better.

I have many chicks of different ages, but I try not to feed mine treats until about 12 weeks. The little chicks will eat Cheese Nips, too. They love to scratch in the crushed crackers. I just don't feed them too much of that "junk" food.

My girls are health food addicts. They haven't touched the tortilla chip I dropped.

Couscous, cherries, & cheese are all favorites though!
