Are Chickens Allowed in Palos Heights illinois?

Hi all,

I have 4 hens in downers grove Illinois, but a friend of mine is looking into getting a few hens for her backyard in Palos Heights Illinois. I tried helping her search the internet and local ordinances, but cannot find anything except livestock zoning. Please help

Palos Heights, Illinois' ordinances prohibit livestock (http://www.amlegal.com/nxt/gateway....n=default.htm$3.0$vid=amlegal:palosheights_il) but not poultry which legally falls under a separate designation (http://www.meetup.com/chickens/messages/boards/thread/8215194), so your friend should be able to keep chickens unless she lives in a specific subdivision with covenants that prohibits them.
