Dear Friends:
I have been doing alot of reading about all kinds of chicks and chickens, my question is, it s eems like they can get alot of things that go wrong, pasty butt, breathing problems, worms, mites etc. How likely is it that my chicks going to get all this stuff. I plan on having 2 chickens (probably Rhode Island Red since its hard to sex bantys and I need to have females.)
I will clean out the coop once a week or more if needed, to keep down any smell. I plan to get a bucket with Diemetrius dirt for them to dust in. My husband says I'm reading to much, when his grandfather had chickens he does not remember him having trouble at all with his chickens to this degree.
Can I get an answer on this one about health of chickens. Are these conditions a regular thing or a rare thing that chickens can get.
Thank you so much
Farmer Jo
