are chicks generally vaccinated for mareks?

like the ones you get from the store? and how would I know if they were vaccinated or not?

Ask when you purchase your chicks. If the store does not know then you may want to get your chicks elsewhere. It's something that the retailer should know.

They are not vaccinated unless it is ordered and paid extra for, generally.

I just read somewhere that they have to be vaxed on day one and only day one? is this true?
