ARE DUCKS CONSIDERED LIVE STOCK??? CITY OF WACO ORDINANCES

are ducks considered live stock??? How do these ordinances work and how hard are they in forced???
I notice that tractor supply sells ducklings every easter you know people in town buy them..

Waco, TX. Livestock is allowed inside the City of Waco as long as the pen is located at least 200 feet from the nearest neighbor in a straight line at the closest points

It depends on your location. Use google and see if you can find the actual laws governing livestock and/or poultry.

Not where I live, they are not! But get this, I can keep my ducks, but the chickens have to go! Now is that stupid or is that stupid? To me and everyone else that has heard this, they can't see what difference they are, both fowl. Go figure.

Ignorant people don't buy ducklings for Easter. they buy chickens. To keep the ignorance abated, they just ban the chicks (chickens) so they dont get a bunch of people dumping off chickens at the shelter or setting them free.

Too bad christmas is the time for those same ignorant people to get puppies.

<disclaimer> and no, BYC ers aren't ignorant if they buy chicks during easter, we're just INSANE

and Christmas is the time to get kittens as well. People don't understand that an animal is forever, be it a dog, cat, rabbit, snake, not me, lol, or our chickens. But we are going to go to our city counsel meeting this Tuesday night, wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.
