Are EE usually more skittish?

I love the varied look of the EE and the beautiful eggs. But this girl has been skittish from the start. I would try to cuddle her as a baby and she wanted no part of it! She's definitely at the bottom of the pecking order and doesn't really seem to have any friends. Are most EE like this?

Most of the EE I've had have been on the skittish side. I have only had a few who were people friendly. And even those didn't mellow out until they were well over a year old. I guess it's just their nature. 🤔
She's beautiful by the way. :love

My EEs are actually fairly friendly. We handled them a lot as chicks. They went through a stage where they wanted nothing to do with us. Now that they’re laying they are very curious, come up to us, will jump up on our leg (pic is one of our EEs that decided my leg would make a perfect perch) or next to us if we’re sitting outside. They haven’t quite responded as consistently to our “hear chick chick” as our hens do, but I think overtime they will.
