I have about 30 feet of laurel garland that I'd love to put in the run for the girls to play with. Is this safe for chickens?

There are many types of laurel. Mountain laurel is toxic to animals. That is they only type I am sure about.

I'm guessing yours is Bay laurel, used in decorations usually. Google it and see if you can match the leaves with a photo. I'd say don't give it too them though, if it is in the same family as Mountain laurel, which we know is bad news for animals when they eat it.
