Are Mallards Good Moms?

My crested mallard started laying a clutch! So far, she's laid 2 eggs. Are mallards known to be good moms?

Mallards are, but I'm not sure about Crested Mallards.

Sadly crested ducks are prone to neurological issues, you can find some threads on the forums about it. If you didn't know this already I would really think about her hatching offspring
