I am raising 5 chicks for the first time. I have 2 easter egger/americuna. I think one maybe a rooster. Not sure which one but both act and look at bit different.
1.MAGGIE- Smaller, tanish legs, tail shooting up and vertical, and fanned out. Scared of everything although friendly, only one who doesn't like to be picked up. Likes to peck our new baby chicks during play time.
2. MOE: Much bigger, blueish legs and feet. Very affectionate and loves to snuggle in my lap, doesn't mind being picked up, tail shoots straight back and no fanning like maggie.

This pic is from last week. Moe left Maggie right. Moe grew her feathers faster.
What do you think?? Moe bigger. ..really hoping she's not because she's such a love bug!

I have the same problem. The one I think is a rooster has the same golden V blaze on the head and has always been bigger than the rest. I sure hope we don't have Roos!

I am betting females by the coloration. They are most likely Easter Eggers...it is very hard to find pure bred Americaunas.

They are almost 4 weeks...I'll try and get some better pics...they move so fast and for some reason when I upload the pics they turn fuzzy!thanks for your input...I'll post new pics asap :)

I think they're both pullets. Salmon on the breast and wild type patterns on the wings and body are female traits. Boys will get reddish splotches on their wings and backs (or black or whatever color they leak) and they don't carry the even pattern.

Here is an update. Maggie's tail has curved feathers. She makes this strange noise that spooks all of them and they run and hide. Is she trying to crow? It's doesn't sound like the typical rooster crow though. Moe is still much bigger than maggie and she too is now making that strange noise. It looks like they path have pointed neck feathers but unfortunately I don't have another easter egger to compare the feathers with. Maggie has been a bit aggressive and lots of chest bumping.
