Are my girls molting or is the roo pulling them? I have a young cockrel who doesn't seem to be bothering them.

The feathers that are missing along the back and then back of the head are most likely from your roo breeding. If they start to get wounds from his nails I would use a chicken saddle. That's what I had to do for my girls and they already getting feather growth back.
