I have 22 hens they are almost a year old they are in an enclosed pen with a covered run I get 12 to 14 eggs a day.my question is this normal is it possibly because the run is coved limiting sunlight hours? In the winter they produced around 20 eggs a day but there was a light in the coop. Feed is Purina 16% protein should I uncover the run the set up is in a shaded area of the yard?

What are their breeds? Some breeds, such a production hybrids can lay an egg a day, while heritage type or breeds designed for looks are much less prolific.
Mixed breeds Dominique, murans, Rhode island reds, and brown leghorns
