This is my first time for guineas. I don't know their ages. They were maybe a few weeks old when I bought them. Their heads are bright blue, they have become "ugly" and they are beginning to grow wattles. I want to shut them up in their enclosed house and run when they start to lay, but don't know what a grown guinea looks or acts like.

Mine are about baseball sized with leggs.. Maybe a bit bigger. Mine just started to have the bacon bits hanging out of their mouths and little nobby things on top of their head. I am keeping mine in the pen yet as I think they are to small to freerange here yet.
Do yours still habe hair on their heads?

thse are mine a few days ago.. your bigger ?

Mine are larger than picture. They have what looks like a few hairs on neck, no feathers or fuzz now. i think I will start keeping them in their covered run until about 1 pm before I let them free range just in case they are about grown up. I appreciate your answering my question. We have reaally enjoyed the guineas, and want to raise some more.

Aye.. they are neat little critters for sure.I never been a bird person but I got the bug now.

I hope mine will have eggs eventually so I can expand my flock a bit.. we have 11 now .. looking at losing some to disease or predators.. I want tostay at around 20 or so.
