Are my hens cochins? What color?

I was told they were cochins when I bought them as chicks. What do you think? What color?

I believe that these are cochins, but not very good quality (sorry, not a judgement of their sweetness, just conformation to standard).

Your last hen is actually most likely a cochin silkie cross, due to the dark skin.

They both look like mixes to me, very pretty mixes! Here's one of my Cochin girls...

They could be hatchery quality purebreds or mixes. I'm not sure what color you'd call them with that leakage. Although, the coloring makes me thing they're mixed, and as mentioned, that dark comb signals silkie or something else a few generations back.

thanks I love my girls no matter what they are. they are very sweet and good broody hens.
