Are my older girls trying to kill the rest of the flock?

Ok so I'm reading & reading & reading on here but no matter what I search I just can't seem to find an answer. We have 15 total in our flock... 5 laying, 1 Roo who is I guess a teenager is best way to describe, 1 almost ready to lay, 1 handicapped, 7 young ones (still not sure on sex on these if that helps with idea of age). 5 older girls were together and 10 others were together when we got them. 10 younger ones came first 5 older about 3 days later. They have little squabbles here and there but seem to get along for the most part. Biggest issue is older girls picking on younger ones but my understanding is that they are just getting who is on top figured out. They have a large coop and large fenced in run (We can't free range due to dogs & other predators). Been nasty last 2 days, rainy, chilly, very little sun if any. Yesterday when it was raining everyone went outside till dark and seemed fine. Today it's a bit chilly compared to yesterday but no rain. Everyone was outside part of the day but then all 10 of the younger ones went in. When I went out to feed other animals all the young ones were scratching around in coop like they were searching for last meal.... I fed everyone and went back into coop with a bucket of layer feed and they all went crazy like they hadn't been fed in years??? Their feeders are all outside and I did notice today the older girls were a bit more moody with the younger ones when they were eating. Could they honestly be that hungry? Should I have more feeders? Better food?? Any ideas....
