I have 4 male broad breasted poults at about 2 weeks old, 2 white and 2 bronze. They are quickly outgrowing the size of the box they are currently in and I think they are ready to go outside (with a heat lamp at night time) but my concern is with disease or parasites from my 2 older free range guineas. Thanks for any advise.

at 2 weeks, from what i've read - i think they're still too young to be outside, even with a heatlamp at night. I think maybe 4 or 5 weeks is the earliest i'd put mine outside even in summer warmth. Turkeys seem alot less hardy when they're really young compared to chickens... just my thoughts... i've only ever raised the 1 i'm currently raising and i got him when it was march, still pretty cold back then - but given that i pretty much know nothing about turkey raising...

I cringed when I read that. :/ I think they are too young to go out right now. Can you find a larger brooder box and put them in? It's better to be safe than sorry. A few more weeks in a brooder won't hurt them with the intent on getting them a larger brooder so that they can grow with enough space.

I am posting a helpful link for you to read.
