Im not sure how to ask this.
do peahens have an egg production system like chickens?
I.e., like a constant supply of eggs that will be laid regardless of the presence of a peacock?
I have 2 hens in with a peacock and I have gotten 2 eggs in the nest. That was a month agao. I haven't seen anymore eggs since. But I have seen him" service" both hens.

No they only lay eggs during breeding season they will not supply you with unlimited eggs. I think that the hens will lay eggs without a male but they wont be fertile so what good would that do

Ok, so if I saw them actively mating, how long before I should expect an egg? I know chicken have 4-7 eggs internal in different stages of production and will lay regardless of the presence of a roo. Depending on the breed, chickens lay everyday/every other day or so. I know that geese are pretty much the same. My lady amhurst laid an egg the day before yesterday but I have not seen another egg since then. My peahens laid 2 eggs about a month ago and have not laid anymore. I removed those eggs about a week ago since they hadn't laid anymore. Should I move the nest or add more cover for them nest in? I am hoping for a clutch of babies so any info would be helpful!
will peafowl actively mate and NOT lay eggs?

No if they actively mate the hen will lay eggs. They start laying 2 weeks after they have been bred, they lay an egg everyother day until the hen has a clutch she is happy with.
The more nesting places you have the more likely she will set. If she doesn't feel safe then she will not brood the eggs.
If you can try giving her a high nesting place.
