ARE PEANUTS OKAY FOR CHICKENS?

We have some chopped peanuts that we haven't eaten and will just get wasted. I was wondering if there is any reason that I shouldn't give them to the chickens?

If they are unsalted go for it! Salted peanuts are to salty. (Go figure)
