are pekins good egg layers???????????

i have 13 pekin eggs in my incubator that i got from a breeder and if i feed them layer pellets will they lay good??? help please, what about wild mallards,are they good egg layers as well???????? i found some at a pond and took them and put them in my incubator, i checked them and they are forming well

yes...very good layers.
accept when molting or during winter.
what will you do with your eggs ?
I bake with mine...... If you have all females, you will have a ton of eggs. I blow out my eggs then paint them for X-mas decorations.....

Yes both Pekins and Mallards are good layers, Mallards have a short laying season. Mallards will brood/hatch eggs, Pekins will not.

My Pekins were laying great until they began to molt. Now they arent laying at all. I swear they were laying 2 eggs a day each! I only have 2 females and there were like 4 eggs each time Id go out there.
