Are Rhode Island red chickens good to eat

Hey sorry if in wrong place but I'm looking at getting some Rhode Island reds. I hear there good for eggs but I want chickens that are good for meat also.

Yes they are good to eat. At 16-18 weeks old, they are best.

Barred Rocks are better for meat if you are still considering, in my humble opinion.

Thanks mate. I live in UK. So some are hard to get hold of. I appreciate any advice you can pass on.

The younger they are the more tender their meat is. For baking skinless chicken is good (that translates to skinning instead of plucking wich is easier on the nose).
