So I've been reading a lot of things online saying salmon favorelles are super friendly like golden retriever vibes is this true

I’ve had four or five and they were all very docile and friendly. I had to be careful not to keep very aggressive hens with them cause they wouldn’t put up much of a fight.

With the caveat that I’ve only had them for a little over 3 months- mine have been very enthusiastic to get up in my lap (though not as insistent about it as my Wyandotte, Sophie, who will zero in on a lap or even an outstretched arm as soon as it becomes available, and thereafter refuse to leave) but they’re quite vocal and dramatic about being picked up and a little more picky about being petted (Neck scratches only, and not for too long, unlike Sophie, who is fine with being stroked down her back, and only a little perturbed when picked up.)

They do run to me when they see me, and are very chatty and tend to want to follow me around. A little needy compared to the others- anxious, I think. They seem to find my presence reassuring. And they’re very sweet once they’ve cuddled down for a nap. Today they huddled up on me just as it started raining, and I felt terribly guilty standing back up to get under cover.

ETA- their names are Becca (like bec-KAW!) and Sandra Dee.
