Are Silkie roos nicer than Buff Orp roos?

I need a rooster and I'm not sure which will protect my hens and also be nice to me so which one buff orpington roo or silkie roo?

IMHO, I don't think a silkie is a good choice for flock protection. They need something to protect them. They're not wary and can't see predators coming.

Are those the two breeds you have?

I would definitely not suggest a Silkie cockerel for your flock's protection. Silkies, while very docile and nice towards people, are just a free meal waiting for predators. If you have an inclosed run and don't free range, I would say go for it. But if you want free ranging or even ranging in general, it's not the best choice at all.
