I am picking up some silver laced Polish in 5 days, but are they APA standard? Are silver and silver laced the same thing? Whenever I google silver Polish I just get pictures of the laced ones. I just want to double check before I get these birds, as they are quite expensive and I need to be able to show them. (They will be my FFA project bird)

Yes, the Silver Laced Polish is a at APA standard being part of the American Poultry Association. In addition, there is also is a difference between the silver laced and just silver coloring since one is laced and being different silver variations between different breeds.

Thank you! That is what I thought, but I wasn't sure and wanted to make sure I would be able to exhibit these birds.

X2 Silver is a gene that can affect many patterns besides lacing but the APA recognizes silver laced Polish as "Silver" because it is the only pattern that silver comes in in that breed.

Oh that makes sense, I was wondering why it wasn't Silver Laced
