Are the chicks alive?

Care for chicks

Hi, I decided that I would like to incubate and hatch chicken eggs, the problem was that the incubator didn't come on time, but the eggs already came. So I went to get a cheap incubator but that Hurt up my whole entire process of the incubation because the chicken eggs don't seem to have any veins inside the eggs. I got more eggs but I don't know if these first legs are going to be alive or not.
I think that two of them at least have a little bit of veining, which day can I tell if the chicks or alive or I should stop the incubation process?

Thank you so much for your help!

By DAY 10, it should be obvious if the eggs are alive or dead. I caution not to keep adding eggs to the incubator though, as it complicates the hatching process. Eggs that are ready to hatch have different humidity needs than incubating eggs.

That is a really good thing to know, again thank you.

THere is a hatching shipped eggs thread on this site. I highly recommend you read it. Bookmark it. You’ll be rereading it every benchmark you hit during the 21 days... probably the first couple of times hatching too. Candling too often and especially taking the young eggs from the cradles for candling can damage the tiny veins and ruin your chance at getting any to hatch. Like I said, check out that thread. It lays it all out. I attempted prior to reading it, and while I did hatch some, they were sickly due to my humidity and temperatures being incorrect...the built in detectors are usually wrong... good luck!

Thank you, I'm so nervous that only 1 or 2 will hatch. I have 5 Americana eggs and this is my first hatch, though I have done a lot of reaserch so I know a lot about ... a lot. I have given some advice, but my advice is only given on things I have read about. I have been trying to read about this, but it wasn't the exact thing I needed.
