Are the eggs fertile

I'm wondering how you figure out if eggs are fertile or if my rooster is even fertile? I got him a few months ago just to protect my flock when they are free ranging but I look forward to also having some chicks from him and my hens. I got him about two months ago he's about a year and 4 months old according to the previous owner. Is there a way to find if my eggs are fertile or if he's fertile?
