Are there any folks from Missouri raising Dorkings or Red/buff Sussex?

I am looking for Red or Colored Dorkings eggs to hatch. I've ordered chicks from Sandhill but they are so far MIA and I'm not sure if I'll EVER see those chicks. Let me know if you are around, I'd LOVE to have some eggs.

I looked at them and they want $6 per chick for the Red Sussex and $4 for the buff. They are also a hatch as you go place so I figured if I were going to wait for a hatch I might as well just buy eggs.?

Kathy, You are too funny. I have had the buffs but never the blacks. (And I loved them too.) They are beautiful but I've got my sights set on Sussex just now. I read The Farming Ladder which is an old book from an English farmer and I've been converted to Sussex. BTW, if you want to read about someone who absolutely had a LOVE AFFAIR with their farm, this would be a great book to read.
