we have 4 Alpine goats 3 does and one buckling and in a week we are getting a boer cross

LOVE this thread!!! I have 4 Nigerian Dwarfs. First we got Hawkeye and Radar (M*A*S*H* fans, anyone). Then we got Bella and a little boy who I wanted to name Edward. My husband was NOT a fan of naming goats after Twilight so he named him Mac

In this picture they're getting access to blackberry bushes for the first time!
Here they all are again getting some lovin' from friends children.

I have currently 10 goats (2 adult bucks, 6does, 2 bucklings). They're all pygmy/nigerian mixes of sort. Except one, who I'm fairly certain is 100% pygmy. I've met some real sweet, fun goats in my almost 5years of owning goats, and some downright-pain-in-the-butt goats.
My current goats' names are Ham, Burger (bucks), Olive, Misty, Delilah, Thumbelina, Opal, Izzy, Squishy and Fudge (bucklings)
Unfortunately, due to rising feed costs, and the potentially $1000 hay bill this winter, I'm probably going to have to cull down to 6 ( all does).

Anyway, overall, the goats do add some fun to my life, and I've been getting a lot of good experience from these critters!

As of now we have 4 "mini Nubian does (Nigerian/Nubian), 1 buckling, 1 doeling, and 16 Dorper sheep. We LOVE mini Nubian's because they produce almost the same amount of milk as a Nubian but they are much smaller in size, there for MUCH easier to show.
