Are there more way to fool a chicken into laying?

Well, not fool, but coax them into it? I'm going to try to add golf balls to my pullet's nesting box this evening when she goes back to the coop for the night. I'm just wondering if there are other suggestions?

I don't think anything makes them broody besides nature. real eggs and fake eggs. You could try putting a picture of a hen sitting on a nest of chicks inside the coop. Maybe she just needs motivation!

Lay eggs or go broody?

If go broody, there is not much you can do as it is hormonal. A full nest of eggs can trigger some hormones but don't bet on it.

As for lay eggs, you can't control when puberty hits a hen without messing with hormones either.

Just gotta wait.

Nothing you can do will coax them to lay, it doesn't work like that.

Golf balls just show them where to lay when they start.
