I have been trying to find coop plans and have run across numerous links to supposedly free plans, but they never lead anywhere to actual plans without paying anything. Does anyone know of a legit link to see some free plans and get some ideas?
Thanks!

Has a few, or if you'd like there's a coops tab with ideas. Remember plywood comes in 4X8 sizes, if you work backwards from there, it's cheaper. (By adding 6 inches to 2 measurements the friend who made my coop doubled the price).

All you have to do is go to your library and get a book on building sheds (or kids' playhouses, but there are fewer of those books out there than books on building sheds). Many have FREE PLANS contained within. And there ya go. All a backyard coop IS, is a shed with extra ventiliation and a chicken popdoor and a roost

one for more chickens from va extension office, awesome looking blue prints.

between the two of these, you should be able to modify the size for any amount of chicks.... GOOD LUCK!!! and when you get frustrated remember... they're *just* chickens! lol
