I bought 3 buff orpingtons at Family Farm. They are now just over a week old. 2 of them are showing gray coloring in their wings. I don't remember ever seeing that in my buffs in the past. Could it be an odd variant, or did someone swap chicks at the store?? Thanks!

Hmm, I have one buff Orrington at home (lost the other one) and I don't think I ever saw gray on her when she was a chick. Good luck though

Look too white to me to be buff orpingtons

Not buff. Mine have always had the feathers grow in basically the same gold color as the floof.

Those feet also look quite yellow to me. What other breeds did they have? Leghorn? White Plymouth rocks?

Yeah I don’t think that’s a buffie. I could be wrong, but mine have a more golden color in their feathers.

Here is my buff orpington the day I brought her home. Her name is big Deborah. I also added a photo of her now at about 6 weeks almost 7. I hope this helps you 20230409_000504.jpg 20230314_153159.jpg
