Are these eggs dead???

hi, these eggs are supposed to be on day 25 but don’t look as formed as the others that hatched last weekend did on the same day. Are these dead? They don’t smell off or anything. They all have detached air cells and have been incubated small end down. Thanks x

Unfortunately yes, they have died. A dead chick sinks towards the narrow end and there's that clearish, watery layer between it and the air cell. A live chick fills up the space under the air cell, or if they are still a little small and still need to grow a bit you'll see lovely red, fat veins under the air cell.

Ah ok, I do have two other eggs that have movement in but look like this. Would it be ok to leave them in the incubator till day 28 just in case? Or should I remove them

I am so sorry....

It’s a tad disappointing but I have 3 very healthy ducklings that hatched a few days ago and still possibly two alive eggs, thanks x

I'd leave them in just in case. I like to give them every chance (I hate losing babies).
