Our little flock is 6-7 weeks now - they were sexed "assorted feather legs" (from the local Agway). Are these cochins? Or what the breed it? And do you see all pullets here? They have the MOST soft feathers and are very sweet, gentle and friendly birds.
Here's hopin' they are girls!
THANKS!
Chirpster: (sweetest one - roosts on my shoulder and doesn't like to be put down).....i think she's part eagle, part hawk, part chicken! was dark brown and black when little, looks like she's going to be black and white. What is this kind of feather pattern called?
and one more of Chirp:
Petunia: the one we nearly lost who limped for several days. she was the FLUFFLIEST chick - you can't see her toes....she's a very muted gray with white.
Aster: was butterscotch colored when little, she's soft and has the fluffy feet, not as fluffy as 'Tunia above...
and one more of Aster:
Henny Penny: was brighter yellow, very dominant, super soft and nice. oh. and opinionated (vocal!)...more mixed white, brown, orange on her now...
white tipped wings:
Plymouth Rocks - I can't tell 'em apart. These are younger than the FLs, but are getting big FAST, and they are much more aggressive and not as friendly as the FLs. I'm suspicious of #2 (tail?)...but I'm just guessing....
