Are these Polish roos or hens?

I'm pretty sure the blue on the left is my rooster cause he's crowing ALL the time, but so is the supposed girl on the right. They both are 12 weeks or so and are supposed to be a rooster and a hen, BUT with all this crowing, I'm confused. Also is the black one considered "black" with those weird reddish feathers coming in on her neck area? She's solid black with a black and white crest, but all of a sudden these red feathers are coming in around her neck area. Thanks folks!
