It is extremely hard to tell if a rabbit- or any animal for that matter, is purebred, unless you have papers etc to prove it. You will have to make guesses if you don't have any information on their parents or anything. I'm not a angora breeder, but I agree with Chickerdoodle. I don't think it would really mater if they purebreds or not if they are from a pet shop to be pets? If you want purebred rabbits, then you should really find a breeder who will be able to give you lineage papers etc, not from a pet shop.
Exactly, it all depends what you are wanting them forDefinitely. Rabbits like angoras are much nicer from breeders, especially if you are looking to actually use the wool. I've seen "angoras" sold by pet shops and backyard breeders, and while they may have some common traits of angora rabbits, the wool is often not a good quality, which is important in a fiber animal.
