My name is Tim. I am interestd in answering the title question. The answer: no.

I am promoting true serama around the world. It has been known for a long time the the import to the U.S. was mostly kapan, a different breed of chicken. Although related to serama, they are a very different in type, size and disposition. I suggest read some information from someone who has seen these birds in several countries first hand. Genetics matters!
