Thanks I've run outside to try and take some more pics for identification , boy these chicks move fast

Here's chicken one

Here's chicken 3--I hadn't posted its pic before--I feel almost certain she's a girl as there is not much head development. This chich is quite runty as when they were a week old it stopped eating and barely moved enough to follow its mum for a couple of days. But it must have been made of sterner stuff as has pulled through nicely

Heres chick 1 (in front) and 3 (in back) for comparison

Here's chick 2 -hope this is a good enough picture of its tail.

I got these eggs a a dozon to hatch, 6 were RIR and 6 SLW. Of the 6 RIR it looks like only one is a rooster. Of the 6 SLW only 3 hatched (Bit disappointed). Mum sat on the nest for an extra 3 days as she was quite determined to hatch these too.

I think you have one roo and one pullet. In the comparsion picture (second to the last) I think the roo is on the left and the pullet is on the right.

They have some nice lacing!

Here is a shot of my 10 week old Georgie. He has just a little irridescence in some of his black feathers, but I can't really see nuch in the way of pointy saddle/hackle feathers.

They don't have as big a wattle as Georgie--(were born 1st April)

He looks a lot more Butch
