Both of these are Spangled Old English Game Bantams Hens. Are they Show Quality? If so, why? Or if not, why not?

Hi! you have some very pretty girls, they definitly aren't that bad, Audrey is pretty nice but her legs are a bit long. Angel has a little to much white and she doesn't have very good type. I would call Audrey breeder quality and Angel is a pretty good PQ. I have definitly seen worse! You have very pretty girls

I have seen some that are Mottled Red Columbian ( like Speckled Sussex) and some that are Mottled Red Duckwing ( Mottled BBRed) like the hens pictured here.

O well I brought it up because if they are suppose to be like speckled sussex then they should be more of a mohagany color, but like I said I've never had or even thought about OEGB's.

Nope, they aren't supposed to be like speckled sussex. Now there are mille fleur oegb, and speckled sussex is red mille fleur, so it's possible that you'll find some speckled oegb, but ti would be a non-standard variety.

I was thinking about showing them last year, but I had already missed the dead line.

I didn't know you had to have a vet come out and everything, that was a new one to me! LOL
