I was thinking that chickens meant female but I should have said pullet lol
For some reason, a lot of people think that. Chicken is the species. ;-) When I first started on the forum, I knew pullet was a young female, but just thought rooster was any age. Learned eventually cockerel was the correct term for young male. But half the time I still just call them roos.
