Hmm.... I think the runner is a girl then -- "she" makes all kinds of wacky noises, including a quack.
The khaki also makes lots of different noises...
I'll have to listen closely to the two buffs. I HOPE they're all girls. I don't really need a drake ... and one of the buff ducks has a bum hip, so we don't really need a drake around causing issues with aggressive mating rituals!

Yes, they are male or female. And realistically it is too early to sex by either sound or look. Wait until their voices change or adult plumage comes in. Off topic, beautiful photographs of wild flowers!
