I have 6 Ameraucana chicks. They are 24 days old now. Is it too early to see their gender? Also, please tell me their future color? Actually I doubt some of them are EE, especially chick 5 and 6, instead of true Ameraucana.

That's a cute batch of chicks! There is two easy ways that you can use to tell if you have an EE vs an Ameraucana:

1.) Did you have to pay buku bucks for your chicks? (ie more than 3 dollars each)
2.) Did you have to go on an epic manhunt to find a breeder willing to sell you hatching eggs or live chicks?

If your answer is 'no' to either question, then it's an EE.

As for color and gender, it's kind of hard to say, but 1, 4, and 5 need watching for roo development.
Color guesses:

1.) Blue
2.) Buff
3.) Buff
4.) Buff/Wheaten
5.) Silver Duckwing
6.) Possible Silver Duckwing (too much of the chick is covered)

I will say no to those two questions. I just searched AMERAUCANA BREEDERS CLUB, 2011 BREEDERS DIRECTORY and bought the hatching eggs from one of the breeder on the list.

That sounds like a 'yes' to the second question

. If you got them from the breeders club, you've gotten pure Ameraucanas for a really good deal. Most people are misinformed by hatcheries and think they are buying Ameraucanas. But if you went to a breeder instead, you're in the clear. Congrats!
