are they safe in the rain?????

Yes I have 5 9 weeks old silkies I just put them in a pen and today was the first day in the rain they did not want to go in the shed but say outside will it be okay are hurt them the big silkie like the rain but these are my first small one please let me know what to do.

Put them inside--a light sprinkle in appropriate temps won;t hurt, but if they get soaked and cold it could be serious.

Sometimes my grown birds like the rain as well. I have two cluthes of 7-8 week olds with their mama hens-- and I have noticed the mother hen always leads them out of the rain even when sprinkling. By this age & because of mother hen, they know to get out of the rain & run for cover as soon as the first drops fall!

Mother hens know best! I say get them out of the rain.
