Are treated telephone poles ok in chicken run?

Hi all, I would like to put a couple of tree stumps in the chicken run for them to sit on (similar to pic). My friend can get power pole pieces, however, they are treated with some type of oil or chemical. Should I avoid that?

I wouldn't. They like to hone their beak on everything. They can also get very sticky in the hot sun.
