???? are twins possible ?????

I hatched twins a couple of weeks ago, sort of. One pipped, but wasn't making further progress, so I helped it out. That's when I found the second chick... mashed into the back part of the shell, dead and severely deformed. The one that made it out alive had one leg that was permanently extended backward, so I had to put it down too.

Hatching twins is something I don't want to do again! I'm very careful now to cull anything that looks like developing twins.
