Are we RIR?

The seller of these girls claimed they are RIR and that they are 1 1/2? I am confused because they have a lot of white feathers and a large Comb Neither of which I see in any of my reds. Also they all seem to have deformed beaks? can anyone help me to answer these questions?

Looks like those beaks have been hacked on like they are battery birds. And what's up with the neck feathers missing? I don't know anything about RIR, but those are probably some kind of production red. They may have quit laying for him, so he sold them to you. Looks like they will have a better life with you!

I don't have a lot of experience with RIR, but those almost look more like Production Red. Maybe someone else will chime in

Thank you! I suspected that they might be some kind of production Red. My RIR is bigger and clean. Does Production mean they are mixed?

I've read conflicting statements on whether it's a mix of RIR and New Hampshire or they're a breed of their own.

They look indeed like commercial hybrids used in the laying industry.
They are not Rhode Island Reds.
Production reds is not a breed and has no description or standard. It is simply a colloquial term used for reddish birds bred to be productive egg layers, that's all production red means.

I think they're red sex links that have been debeaked. This is the age when battery operations get rid of their stock, sounds like that's what happened here.
