I love both cake and pies (and cookies as well), but something about a cake with just the right bake, a good texture, and the right amount and type of frosting just cannot be beat in my mind. But a good apple pie with a crunch topping, or a well-made cheesecake, are right up there with it.


I also love, LOVE cobbler! But no, it's technically not a pie, even if similar in structure.
