So got a rooster who’s silver laced Wyandotte x barred rock (so I was told) and he’s the lone man of the house with these hens:
buff orps
black australorps
blue Wyandottes
Buff brahma
Cuckoo maran
Barnevelder
Delaware
These two sweet little peeps are from the clutch collected by our blue wyandotte. I know based on egg shells that at least 1 of the 3 that hatched were from our cuckoo maran. I see one that clearly is showing barring, does that mean it’s coming through from dad? Or is that probably the cuckoo maran egg? And the other chick is a total mystery to me, the legs were SUPER bright orange and I see more light beige as time goes on. It doesn’t have any distinct pattern that I notice, just lots of light coloring. I feel like it would be too dark to be the Delaware but too light to be the blue Wyandotte.
Any guesses?
